About us

A heritage in Greek care

Grace of Mary and St. Andrew’s Hostels, are the pride of our Community.

Our homes nurture an atmosphere of relaxed social interaction and stimulating communication, all of which promote laughter and conversation, and evoke feelings of mutual respect, fun, and a purposeful existence. Our aim, and focus, has always been, to enhance residents’ quality of life through meaningful activities and positive experiences.

Set in a buzzing Greek atmosphere and surrounded by olive, orange and lemon trees; our homes are welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, ensuring residents feel as if they are in their own home.

Our holistic approach to care, where all aspects of our services are integrated and centred around the individual and their heritage, recognises the therapeutic implications on both mind and body, and their intimate interconnections.

Our staff and volunteers, understand the importance of cultural differences, thus, our care is person-centred and built around the ethos of celebrating life, culture, and individuality. We see it as a privilege to be trusted by you, with the care of your loved one.

Our executive team

Our home is guided by a wonderfully dynamic senior management team which includes:

  • Director of Nursing,
  • Deputy Director of Nursing, and
  • Quality Manager

Our home is Governed by a group of Board members, who constitute our Governing Committee. This Committee works in collaboration with a Principal Nurse Advisor, Dr. Devi Ranasinghe, from DRs TQM P/L, whose work forms part of our homes’ Aged Care Quality management systems, and provides overarching clinical and organisational governance.

COVID-19

Our home will continue to ensure the safety of our residents, and all stakeholders.

Updates are provided to all stakeholders on a regular basis, and via many communication methods, including but not limited to: daily care consultations, SMS, email, and our home’s Newsletter.

Working here, I have come to learn and value our residents’ inspirational history and rich culture, which in turn, has helped me to develop a deeper respect for those who have much wisdom to bestow. The atmosphere within our home, is one of unity through diversity, and this has helped me form lasting friendships, with residents and staff alike.
